Dec. 2023 - Present

Produce two shows each day filled with current local and national content.
Plan and organize content in iNews, write active and compelling scripts, time out the show, and ensure accuracy within the broadcast.
Search for ongoing stories that have an impact on local viewers.
Coordinate with photographers, reporters and directors about live shots and breaking news.
Produced several live pre and post game sports shows for the NBA finals.

Jan. 2022- Dec. 2023

Led a team weekly to produce and direct our student-led broadcast.
In charge of hiring decisions, scheduling for every member, coordinating plans with the team, and making final calls on reporter content.
Covered major events across campus, from feature stories to events that gained national attention.
Planned and wrote the majority of content, worked with our engineering team to set up the show, and uploaded the final product to various platforms.
Awarded the KBA Impact Award’s Best College Newscast

Aug. 2021- Dec. 2023

Pitched and wrote around three or four stories a week for our sports and news sections of the student run newspaper.
Interviewed subjects, conducted research and wrote in AP style.
Covered topics ranging from local news, Asbury sports, national stories, and even sports commentary. I also contributed occasional feature and opinion stories outside my own sections.
Trained new editors and oversaw content from contributing writers. Included creating assignments and editing pieces.

June 2022 - Aug. 2022

Worked in various roles across the newsroom including with our news desk, digital team, producers, reporters, and photographers.
Wrote multiple stories daily that were published online.
The majority of my time was spent training with producers and writing content for the 5 and 6 pm shows.
